Shegs back to his best ahead of tough season

Supa Strikas striker, Shegs, gave supporters something to smile about when the Men in Red beat Iron Tank following a loss to Club Orion, in a season sports nuts say is sure to be tougher than ever for the boys from Strikaland.

Shegs, who has shown improvement after his disappointing first game in the league, said he is happy to be scoring goals again. Passion and dedication are the keys that saw the young striker lead Strikas to their first Super League victory.

Shegs came under fire for his performance against Invincible United last season after missing a crucial penalty. And last weekend he failed to score against Club Orion after missing many opportunities to score his first goal of the season. But Shegs said he’ll keep on working harder as the season continues.

The young striker, one of the key players in the highly successful team, also said as a player you are not going to have a great game every time you play. He’s been in good company, getting good advice from veteran players Rasta and Big Bo, who have been in the same situation before, but managed to overcome it.

“It’s very difficult to find yourself in this situation, but I managed to pick myself up! The secret is to keep working hard and forget what the media and fans say, as that might affect your performance even more. I’m happy I scored against Iron Tank on Monday and this will boost my confidence ahead of our next fixture!” said Shegs.

Look out for this talented striker this season, as he gets ready to terrorise the other defenders in the Super League. BEWARE… Shegs is BACK!
