Strikas Vs United: Can Strikas end United’s winning streak?
It’s not that long since they last met, and yet Supa Strikas and Invincible United meet again in the Super League as their supporters get their fan gear on and their flags up. The anticipated clash will be hosted by the Men in Red on 12 May 2008/09 in front of 50 000 fans at Strikaland.
Coach has told Supanews his team will be ready to face United. “My boys have been working hard,” he said, “I can’t wait. I’m fully confident that Strikas can rise to the challenge.”
Coach made these comments earlier today at training after finding out he will go head-to-head with his nemesis, Vince. This game is the most highly anticipated clash on the soccer calendar, a league game no one wants to miss.
The full Supa Strikas line-up was at training this morning, knowing only hard work will make them prevail against their archenemies. Star strikers Shegs and El Matador were at their very best, while “Crossing King” Cool Joe, Twisting Tiger and captain Dancing Rasta showed great performance on the midfield.
Fresh from a win against Iron Tank, the Men in Red are clearly eager to end their drought against United. And come 10 February all eyes will be on them to see if they can end United’s winning streak against them.
Coach received congratulations all round for leading Strikas to second in the last Super League. And while he was getting this news, Coach still managed a special message for Supa Strikas’ fans. “The support we got last year was great and meant a lot. We hope we’ll get the same support this season,” he added.
