Why United are confident, by Ben Zed

Supa Strikas will once again go head-to-head with archenemies Invincible United in two weeks’ time. Yes, Invincible United, managed by the vigorous Musa, who is confident his players will do the job in this seasons’ first derby between the two teams.

Strikas’ Coach is not in his very best mood this season after the Men in Red lost their opening game to Club Orion. Then came in the powerhouse army boys from Europe, Iron Tank, who took Strikas to another level of football with Strikas narrowly beating them.

Now Coach faces United in Strikas’ third game of the season - a team Strikas failed to beat last season in the Super League. The big question on everyone’s lips is how Coach will physically and mentally prepare his team to face the defending champions.

Now you see why United are confident ahead of the derby? Supa Strikas have been struggling in their past three games. It’s no surprise Musa is so relaxed. But don’t be fooled by the United manager as he also has a plan up his sleeve. Whatever it is, it will be a plan Coach must be ready to eliminate.

Danger men who might swing the game in United’s favour:

Skarra (striker) – the technician of the team, who holds the cards

Akindele (defender) – Skarra’s back-up plan if United are under pressure

Automatic (midfielder) – the so-proclaimed best player in the world who plays a physical game

Carlos (striker) – new blood on the team, who scores goals when he is left unwatched

United have faced accusations around the world of dirty play and cheating, but these are yet to be proven in court. “People must start accepting that we the best in the world. All these rumours won’t affect our goal… we’ll beat Strikas fair and square like last season!” said Musa.
