Supa Strikas are on course to avenge their defeats to rivals Invincible United come next week Monday’s showdown at Strikaland. Despite losing their last two clashes against United in the Super League, can Coach lead his troops to glory?
Next week Monday Coach will put his hopes on strikers Shegs and El Matador. Coach will be all over the pitch where he’ll be trying to marshal his troops to their first ever Super League win. It’s a task Strikas’ Coach feels will be huge for both the players and their supporters.
“It’s going to a real tough game for us. We are under pressure to get a good result against our rivals as they have a 100% record against us in the league,” said Coach earlier this week.
At the start of this season Shegs and El Matador played exceptionally well against Iron Tank, with left winger Cool Joe causing havoc with his mesmerising crosses. And not forgetting the talented Twisting Tiger and Dancing Rasta, the stars of the midfield, whose exceptional passes confused Tank.
“As a coach I’ll be leading the team by example, by showing my support for the entire 90 minutes and telling the guys how they must implement what we have done at training. I’m the twelfth player and this will boost them mentally and physically,’ he said.
“If I just sit down and don’t shout or instruct them they’ll lose focus and forget they all need each other out there. That’s why I’ll lead by example on the touchlines,” added Coach.
