Supa Strikas senior striker, Abdul, told Supanews his aim in the warm-up game against FC Falcons will be to destroy the home team. This will be a great opportunity for Abdul to shine, and show Coach he’s still got the magic that made The Boss buy him.
Watching the Men in Red over the last couple of games, fans are happy that Coach’s strategies have paid dividends. Coach has suggested he may give the B-side a run in the jungle before Strikas play Gallacticos. This news left many fans wondering if Coach will include the ever so on-and-off Abdul in his plans.
Abdul says he is determined to prove he’s not just a number or spectator in the team, having spent the best part of this season on the bench. “I’m glad I’ll be part of ze team zat’s going avay, as I’ll be able to draw on my international experience, especially if Coach decides to play me alongside Rizo, Gris, Lankey or Turk!” said Abdul.
Supa Strikas have a strong squad, and have been putting 100% into their training. They’ll be hoping everything goes according to plan when they meet Gallacticos.
However, Gallacticos are regarded as match favourites and should cause an upset if the Men in Red take them for granted. They’ll bring a strong squad determined to end Strikas’ two-game winning streak come 14 July 2008.
