Supa Strikas reserve player Rizo impressed his coach, his captain and his fans when he led an inexperienced B-side in Monday’s crucial game against European giants Gallacticos.
Rizo showed commitment and dedication throughout the game, even as the team was struggling and went down two goals. But instead of giving up, the talented defender pulled up his socks and showed fans the B-side can handle Gallacticos.
Fans were stunned with disbelief at Rizo’s showcase game, his first ever Super League encounter. After the game the fans were all over Rizo wanting to shake the hand of their hero. Some said Rizo is the new Paulo Maldini, referring to the star AC Milan player.
And Rizo’s teammates were equally impressed with his performance.
“I knew he got what it takes to be on da team. I hope he keeps up da good work as da fans will be expecting to see more from him!” said Supa Strikas captain, Dancing Rasta.
“I knew the boy had talent. I’m proud of the way the young man played on Monday. I think Rizo will be worth watching from now on,” added Coach.
Rizo will be celebrating his role as a new defender with Shegs and the rest of the team at Cool Joe’s Club this Friday night – don’t miss it!
