Rizo to wear his number 5 jersey full-time?
After earning his first cap for Strikas’ Gallacticos fixture, Rizo is aiming to keep his new position permanently. And Coach has told him he’s going to start in Supa Strikas’ next Super League fixture against F.C. Colossus.
Strikas defender Rizo showed flair, passion and dedication in the colours of Supa Strikas during Monday’s fixture, and Strikas’ draw was partly thanks to his last breathtaking tackle. Rizo started as caretaker captain in the game, and said he was happy to be trusted and given an opportunity to show his skills.
Rizo, one of the best players from Supa Strikas’ development side, also said he didn’t mind being on the bench. He’s been in good company - even Shegs, El Matador and Rasta were benched last season after failing to impress Coach.
“The bench is where it all starts! The challenge is to get more time on the pitch… and you must push harder for a place in the starting eleven. I’ve managed to start in one game and impress Coach. I think that’s why I’ve been given a second chance!” said Rizo.
Rizo will soon be playing his second Super League game, helping the likes of The Blok and North Shore, the last line of defence before Strikas’ gigantic goalkeeper, Big Bo.
Look out for this talented defender in the Super League as he works to make a name for himself in the Supa Strikas line-up. Supanews wishes him all the best. And to all other teams… BEWARE! Rizo has arrived!
