Supa Strikas captain, Dancing Rasta, has a strong belief that the Men in Red have all the players they need to break any team in the Super League. His comment follows after another good performance against Gallacticos in a game many thought the Europeans would win.
Strikas’ first eleven were not featured in the first half of their Gallacticos game because they were quarantined over fears of a wild monkey flu outbreak. The team was released after it was discovered that the monkey smuggled onto their plane was not, in fact, wild. They showed charisma and determination when they took over from the B-side after halftime. The starting eleven leveled the game and earned Strikas a valuable draw.
Strikas will next face F.C. Colossus in a Super League game at Strikaland. But most of the hype around the Men in Red is focused on a match against Clube Palmentieri, a team coached by Edwin, Strikas’ former caretaker coach in the Amazon jungle.
Rasta said team spirit is high following Coach’s post-match team talk and more hard work at training. With Rizo going into his second game as a new defender, Rasta hopes the young man will handle the pressure as well as he did in their Gallacticos game.
“Palme are one of da fiercest teams in da League, but we’ll have top players like Rizo and Da Blok to stop dem from penetrating our defence,” said Dancing Rasta.
