Shegs determined to silence his critics
Supa Strikas’ striker, Shegs, says he’ll ignore criticism from soccer critics this coming Monday when he proves he is as good as his father, Sam, by scoring in both his Super League games against Clube Palmentieri and F.C. Colossus.
This follows comments from soccer critics who said, “Shegs is not as good as his dad!” It isn’t the first time in Shegs’ career that this remark has been made, but the latest round of criticism comes after the striker’s recent inability to finish.
However Shegs wasn’t scared by these comments and said the critics will eat every word.
“They’re just trying to shake my confidence ahead of our fixtures, but it won’t work. They are just journalists trying to sell their papers and I’ll wipe the smiles off their faces this weekend at Strikaland,” said Shegs.
Shegs’ father is generally accepted as one of the greatest players of all time. And since the youngster took to the field everyone has expected a player as great as Sam.
“The legacy of my father will live through me as long as I’m playing good football. My dad was the best and I’ll do him proud on Monday. I’m not in this game to be better than him… I just want my team to be better than Clube Palmentieri and F.C. Colossus!” said the striker.
It’s going to be Shegs vs. El Matador this weekend, a fight where both strikers will be determined to score a goal. And for Shegs it’s going to be another battle as he tries to silence his critics.
