Genius strikes destroy Palmentieri

El Matador and Shegs helped Supa Strikas break the unbreakable Clube Palmentieri with superb goals that brought the Men in Red back to the game. However, the leadership of captain Dancing Rasta proved to be the key factor for Strikas after he scored the last goal of the game.

Strikas’ Coach told Supanews that after seeing Palme and Colossus in their previous games in the Super League, he had a feeling Strikas would be in trouble. Coach decided to stick with his two strikers, Shegs and El Matador, despite their recent struggle to score goals.

Some fans say Coach came up with a “crazy plan” that would help Shegs and El Matador score goals for Strikas. But Coach denied any crazy plan and said it was the players themselves, who showed the world they still have the fire in their boots.

Strikas played well, winning one game and losing one in their two Super League showdown fixtures.

First Game: Supa Strikas Vs F.C. Colossus

Supa Strikas struggled to maintain ball position as Colossus closed every move they made. Shegs and El Matador had chances to bury the Greeks but poor striking upfront let the Men in Red down. Colossus’ captain Perseus was untouchable, controlling the entire field. It was no surprise that Colossus broke the deadlock in the 80th minute. Strikas’ chance of a comeback seemed to be a Mission Impossible!

Results: Strikas [0] – [1] Colossus

After the game Coach said: “We played well and should have won 5-1, but poor shooting and selfishness cost us the game!”

Second Game: Supa Strikas Vs Clube Palmentieri

Coach was under pressure to win and this game was a different story: Shegs and El Matador played their very best, but the two strikers started to be selfish and wanted to score for themselves. Many fans wondered what was going on. The Brazilians were mesmerising Strikas’ goalmouth with two great goals from Kada. Palmentieri were the side happy to leave the field at halftime with a 2-0 lead.

Suddenly in the second half, Shegs and El Matador decided to cooperate and help each other. Dancing Rasta was the key man, who drove the Strikas engine in the middle. The team was on fire and the Brazilians had no answers as Strikas terminated them with brilliant football and two genius goals from Shegs and El Matador.

It didn’t end there as Rasta added his own superb goal. Kada and Raoul press forward continuously. But it was not to be as Palme suffered their first defeat in the Super League this season.

Results: Strikas [3] – [2] Palmentieri

After the game Coach said: “It was a tough game, but we stood our ground and defended well. And we scored three times. I’m happy that my strikers were on target!”
