Shegs and El Matador silence critics

Supa Strikas fans cried out to Coach and team manager, The Boss, about Shegs’ and El Matador’s performance in recent games. However, the fans were quickly silenced by the strikers, who were among the scorers that sank Clube Palmentieri on Monday.

Supanews went across Strikaland and asked Supa Strikas fans what they think about Shegs and El Matador.

James - Waiter:

Shegs and El Matador played okay. But that doesn’t mean they’re back to their very best. Let’s wait and see how they do in our next games. We need a new striker in the team just in case Shegs and El Matador fail to impress in the first half.

William– Self-employed:

Shegs is a great player and I believe he has a lot to offer our team. Strikers won’t be good all the time. Sometimes they go through phases of not scoring. And sometimes scoring to them will be easy. I’m happy the guys are back on form!

Lucas – Tuck-shop owner:

Aahh! Coach has lost his touch! I think Coach should rethink his strategy for our next game. Start with Shegs and ABDUL. Then introduce El Matador in the second half as a super-sub. Why does Coach start with our powerful strikers?!

Edward - Teacher:

Shegs and El Matador had too many chances to seal victories in our last two games. But I’m happy Coach didn’t rush to change the team and did the right thing by sticking with his two top strikers.

Emmanuel - Coach at a university:

I feel sorry for the guys! They’ve been under pressure to perform. It’s a great thing that they’ve silenced many people who thought the team needs new strikers. I’m behind the boys all the way. They’ll bring the Super League title to Strikaland this season.

Frank - Fireman:

Shegs and El Matador are waste! We should have had six points rather than three in our last two games in the Super League. I think Coach must do something and maybe get a new skillful striker who knows how to score goals like Ronaldo.

Martins – Graphic Designer:

I’m happy El Matador and Shegs scored. This is what we want as Supa Strikas fans. I hope the boys keep up the good work. We are behind the team all the way.
