Tough fixture: Supa Strikas VS Sultans
Ahead of Supa Strikas’ Super League game against Sultans, Coach talks about why the Men in Red need a win now more than ever.
Strikas have been drawn to play Sultans in their seventh game of the Super League. The Men in Red will be looking forward to their first ever meeting with the team from Dubai.
“We need to register our second victory in a row in this tournament,” Coach said.
“We’ve never played against Sultans and we are expecting a very different game. Sultans look tough to beat, but we have to get something to keep our title hopes alive,” he added.
Strikas’ loss to F.C. Colossus has put pressure on the Men in Red to start scoring League points. They beat the Brazilians, Clube Palmentieri, in their last game in the Super League. And a win against Sultans will bring another three points to Strikas, but Coach’s team has yet to win two games in a row this Super League season.
“Our plan is to dictate the game and not give them any room to play,” Coach explained, “And our supplying department is working overtime. There’s been great progress from Twisting Tiger and Dancing Rasta, and Cool Joe is on particularly good form at the moment.”
But Coach is aware that it will be a fight to the end.
“Sultans will give us a run for our money,” he added, “And Sultans’ manager and coach, Sheikh Ali Zaman, who last season tried to sign Cool Joe, will be on a mission … to get those crucial three points!”
Yet, in spite of the pressure, Coach believes his boys are all set for their next clash. “Spirits in the camp are good,” he concluded, “The players look psychologically and physically ready for the side from Dubai.”
