Injured Rasta proud of Dino and El Matador
Supa Strikas captain, Dancing Rasta, who was injured in the game against Iron Tank, told Supanews he was really proud of El Matador and Dino after both players decided to work together and help Strikas beat FC Colossus on Monday.
The never-say-die attitude of the team’s captain, known for keeping the team’s spirits high at all times, was not crushed by his injury. Despite being out, Rasta was the man to motivate and help the team in their game against Colossus.
Rasta said he was worried about El Matador at first, but knew the striker would come around and work with Dino. According to Rasta El Matador was not happy about the re-introduction of Dino, as the former Hurricanes player was always determined to bring Strikas down in the past.
“I don’t blame El Matador for being worried about Dino at first. Most of da guys didn’t like da idea dat Coach brought him to our ranks after he tried to bring us down so many times. But we are professionals and in order for everyting to work, we need to work as a team,” said Rasta.
Commenting on the team’s wonderful game against Colossus, Rasta told Supanews that every team goes through these phases and he believes this was another test.
Rasta, who was voted Strikas’ most phenomenal midfielder by fans, said he is proud of the team’s performance because they showed determination, character and charisma through the game.
“Da guys did deir best, and it was enough to get us maximum points, which we need. Da Supa Strikas flag is flying high and will always be high, mon!” added Rasta.
