Supa Strikas captain, Dancing Rasta, is out of action for 2 weeks, according to team doctors. The midfielder was injured in Strikas’ Iron Tank game before their crucial FC Colossus fixture on Monday.
After being discharged from hospital, the Strikas captain was instructed to rest his knee till he is 100% ready to run. This means Strikas might play their next league game without their captain.
However, Coach is confident that the talisman of the team will be fully fit when they play their next fixture.
“It’s sad to lose one of your best players at this stage of the season, but I’m sure Rasta will be back in action in no time. Still, I don’t want to take any risks with Rasta’s health. He’s one of our most valuable players,” said Coach.
When asked who he thought would make a good stand-in captain, Coach replied with a smile: “Big Bo led the team on Monday against Colossus and if Rasta is not 100% fit before our next game, Bo will lead again.”
Supanews wishes Dancing Rasta a speedy recovery and hopes to see him in the next Supa Strikas game, leading the boys to yet another victory!
