Strikas’ next journey points them to Brazil

Supa Strikas leave for South America in two weeks’ time to face Brazilian champions, Clube Palmentieri, led by famous striker Don Aldo. The two-game showdown will include a friendly game and a Super League clash.

Despite Palmentieri’s brilliant home record, Coach is confident his boys will make an impression on the Brazilians. “Our goal overseas is not only to beat Palmentieri, but also return home with new inspiration and inventiveness to win the Super League for the first time in the club’s history!” said Coach from his office at Strikaland.

Coach said the challenge will be to match the South American team’s unique style of play. Coach is preparing the boys in the usual way: long hours on the training pitch! But he also confesses there are some things you can’t prepare for.

“Who knows what will happen in Brazil? We’ve experienced their culture and rich history of football on previous trips, but that doesn’t mean we know what Palme will bring to the pitch on match day,” said Coach.

“It’ll also be up to the boys to find their own inspiration when we get there,” he added.

When Coach was asked if he was happy with the squad he’s chosen to face Palme he responded calmly, saying, “Yes. This trip is not only about winning or losing, but also giving the league squad the inspiration they need ahead of other tough fixtures in the league.”

Palme’s fearsome, flamboyant striker, Don Aldo is Supa Strikas’ number one hurdle. As Coach explains, “He’s not called one of the great South American strikers for nothing!”

What will happen when Supa Strikas touch down in Brazil? Stay tuned to find out!
